Header problems...
Anyone put headers on a non-lifted xj and have issues when braking and turning? I put a Pacesetter header on my '99 and when I got it back I have this banging/chrunching sound when I brake and have to cut the wheel more than 45 degrees. And even worse when there is a bump involved. I looked underneath and the only place that looks like it is close to the header is where the front driveshaft goes to the front diff is pretty close to the collector. Would that get closer under the circumstance I just laid out? Does the driveshaft move up and down? I mean I guess it must when the axle moves with suspension travel.
Also I have a 2" suspension lift that will be going in shortly, spring blocks and rear shackles. Will that help in this case? With the extra 2" under the front springs will that help the clearence by the collector, or will the relationtionship between the two stay the same?
