Hello everyone, I rarely post but here one question I have. In my 97 I have bent valve Ran all nessary tests to check, so anyway, I'll just be replacing the whole head with a new cast head from clearwater. Says on site it will fit on a 97 but the number on head is 0331. (Buddy bought the head to replace head on is 00 but he is trading xj for stock 99) so he will sell to me. I know on the 0331 the ports are smaller so I shouldn't have an issue using my intake mani and exhaust mani off my 97 right?

Nah u don't want it. Just get another 0630 head

The 0331 was designed with smaller exhaust ports because it went with the waste spark system introduced in the 2000 model year. Putting it on an older Jeep would work, but I seriously wouldn't do it. Just get the correct casting for your '97 and sell the 0331 to pay for it.

Ok, I found a few 0630 locally. guys will sell me for 50 bucks and I'll bring it to machine shop and sell the clearwater, I'm sure it will sell quick. Thanks !
