HCV bypass on my 89 renix

got a question. i know i can run hoses from 97+ but can i just hacksaw the valve off and just get and extended hose to make up for the valve? and plug the vac hose offcoarse

You might cut + back off pin towards area of strap with glue.

Eliminate the HCV. Plug the vacuum line. Done.
