Default Have some stock steering and suspension questions

Hi this is my first post!

Ok I have a disabled son in a wheelchair he turns 18 next month and wants to drive. We found a great 1998 4dr cherokee and mounted an electric wheelchair lift on the back.
It has 115k on it and drives pretty good but has a bit of wondering and makes a kluncking sound when you hit potholes. I need this thing to handle better than stock!,
I'm looking for a good track bar and control arms for stock hight NO LIFT I don't need johney joints, heims or crawler joints it is a DD.
Everything I have found is for lifted rigs.
Also I'm wondering if the Jcr 1ton under the knuckle steering will help it handle better ?
I have looked into stock replacements but would rather get some better quality the stock stuff sucked when it was new!

Any recommendations or is there anyone here that could make me what I

No one is going to make after market control arm for a stock height Jeep.

For control arms I suggest looking into OEM WJ lower control arms. Replace the uppers with stock. I noticed a slight improvement in ride quality with the larger bushings.

When the steering is in good condition there's nothing wrong with the OEM steering at stock height. Maybe look into a ZJ V8 tie rod if anything.

Replace the trackbar with a stock track bar.

Point is, if you want it to ride as good as stock then service the front end with quality bushings and joints and you won't have an issue.

OEM stuff WAS good... 15 years ago.

Welcome to the forum.

Agreed ^.

The stock stuff will do you just fine, you could get some nice shocks but it should ride really nice once it has all new bushings and TRE's.

What about the rubicon express super ride fixed control arms instead of the factory arms?
I think there only 1/4 longer than stock I don't see that behind a real problem would it?

JKS makes adjustable control arms that will work with no lift.

Any length more than stock will change your castor, however minor. I doubt if it is only 1/4" that you will notice, but verify that.
