Default has it been done?

Hey guys real quick I was talking to a fellow xjer about my cylinder head woes and he had said that he had heard or read somewhere about people using SBC 350 vavle springs. If this is a viable option what springs "duration"? I'm just a part time shade tree mechanic so the simpler the better? Thanks

if it were me I wouldn't ... Valve springs should remain the same as long as the rods and rockers.

First of all, "Duration" has absolutely nothing to do with valve springs................At least, not directly.

Second, what cylinder head woes do you think you have, that could possibly be solved by using SBC 350 valve springs?

I was running the "beehive" springs in my 4.9L along with valves from an LT1.

Only reason to have different valv springs is to help keep The valves shut with a larger can or increased flow to prevent float. LS3 springs out of a new style SBC get the job done for quite a few makes and models.

Yes, that's another reason I went with LS1 springs. I used LT1 valves because they are about as close to stock size 4.0L valves with just a little machine work needed, without taking too much off the head.
