Post has anyone made disconnects for their swaybar?

I was wondering if any one has biult their own extended swaybar disconnects. I just can afford to pay for new disco at the time and figured I can just make some. I have found how to make them longer but would like to posably make them in to disconnects.

If you have what did you use to make them?

I have about $45.00 in them if you install new rubber bushings ( Duralast #SL231) it will add an extra $40.00 to the cost.

Materials:
1/8” Hairpin Cotter Pins = 4 each
1/2” dia. Adjustable Grip Clevis Pin (modify length as required) = 2 each
5/8” dia. X 1” lg. grade 8 hex bolt w/ washer and hex nut = 2 each
Shock conversion (modified) = 1 each
1/2” Steel flat washer = 2 each
Steel tubing 3/4 OD x 1/2” ID (length to be determined by lift height)

The short eye ends were salvaged from the rear sway bar links. The longer eye ends were from the existing front sway bar links with the grommet ends removed.

Mike
did you just remove the rear sway bar or did you make that one longer too?

He used the links from the rear, so he probably just ditched it. I wouldnt bother with a rear sway bar period.
