Write up will be coming soon. The light bar came in today. But we are expecting over 100 degree temps tomorrow so that's a big no! Plus, I found out that I need ball joints on the passenger side. I just ordered them up for both sides so they're done.

Here's a few sneak peak pics though.....

Looks like new! Well the outside cover is.

Here's a few pics of it just laying up there. I'll need some hardware and a relay kit to hook this baby up. Just gotta get my other stuff done first. Ball joints and rear locker this weekend hopefully.

The Vendor was ebay. LOL! This bar was on ebay for like 2 months. They kept listing it for from 199 down I believe it was. I kept buggin them to sell it cheap because the cover was broken and it would cost XXX amount of dollars to get it back to working order. So I mind as well buy a new one. I just kept hounding them and hounding them. They listed it 2 more times and nobody sent offers on it because it was broken. So the last time they did a make an offer auction and I said what the hell I'll try one more time. And they took it! I already got the new cover months ago hoping someone would have a broken bar around. There is only 1 tab that is 1/2 way broken which is an easy fix. I posted a link earlier in the thread on replacement parts which were the cheapest I could find. You could save money by piecing it from different places. It just takes longer to get it all together.

Thanks for the tip on the tools for the Ball Joints. I wound up getting Moog's for both sides. I changed my drivers axle joint yesterday, took it out and had this bad clunk on turns. I thought it was the joint binding. Checked it out and it was all clear. My front shaft has play in it so I took it out thinking it was messing with the locker. No dice. Turns out the passenger lower ball joint is wiped out. So, 1/2 the work I did yesterday in 100 degree heat is lost. Hoping to get them done tomorrow. Oh, and I already have a shop press and Ball Joint service tool already. 3 Jeeps = Better have tools. But thanks man!

Yeah, I def think it was a good score. You must be persistant if you want something that bad. ha!

Pics will definately be coming as soon as I can get started on it. I might even start a new thread since this one is asking if anyone has ever done it. There may be more people to post their pics as well. But I'll post the new link as well.

Sorry guys, I haven't had the chance to hook this bar up yet. I might actually be changing my mind but I'm still considering it. I popped it on top of my FIL's Jeep at my house and I think it actually looks better on the black one. Kinda like it belongs there. He wasn't crazy about the idea at first but when he saw it he said it wasn't that bad looking. So, I'm not sure if I sparked his interest. I would give him this one if he really likes it. I found another set up I'm interested in but since I don't really do night rides, I don't know if it's even worth the money now. We'll see. Well, you know me. I don't go anywhere without pics. Let me know which you guys like better.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Now back to the OP (if we didn't scare him away) Here are a few things you'll need to look in to if you decide to go this route.

I did some test fitting and lighting tests to see how this bar would work out and there are some things to be aware of. The roof is raised in certain areas for strength and the light bar needs a flat surface to sit. So you will either need to crush those areas or make some kind of filler so it sits properly. The lights only adjust up and down not left to right and even with them all the way down they still kind of point pretty high. The best location I found for good light beam was closest to the windshield just about right to the moulding. The covers for the lights (which are required here in Jersey) tend to come off easily so you'll need a backup plan to secure them. The bulbs are 9006's and I would upgrade them with a hyper white or Artic white bulb. They have the stock headlamp color to them. Almost like a yellow. I like Ultra clean looking lights but that's my opinion. Windshield and hood glare....yes you will definitely get it with this bar. Mounting it further back will help as with any light bar BUT it will look silly set back a foot or so. I took pics of that as well. I took pics in various places because I know someone will want to see it. I placed it above the grill to show the differences in the color of the lights and beam comparison. I hope this helps anyone out looking to install one of these.
