Ya, someone on here has. I don't remember who. I think it was in the light bar set-up thread. I'll see if I can find it.

I hate it when people put the rubi stickers on vehicles that aren't Rubis.

CleanMJ though. I like the bar idea, too.

what he said ^^

but on topic, the light bar looks decent on there

It is a really nice rig, that is something that I would DD and probably never let see the dirt.

I've heard if you can't find it at a junkyard its real $$$. About $364 I think just for the bar from dealer minus lights and wires. Look for it in your local yard. I've done research just lookin for the bar

If this is for the lightbar from the Liberty. Goodluck. There was a few on ebay last week but these things arent cheap. You could piece one together which would cost you around $250 all together. There was someone selling just the outter plastic with the 4 light covers for 50 bucks on ebay. Then you could either run your own lights and make a mounting plate yourself or purchase the piece you need and wire it yourself to save some money. I put this project on hold because I was doing a rear rebuild, SYE and drivshaft work first. I don't normally do night runs so the lights could wait for now.

Here is a link for the light bar parts.

One of the ebay auctions for these.

What ever you do, DO NOT buy one of these crappy things

yep thats it i knew it was expensive.

Jason95xj 06-02-2011 11:03 PM

yeah i looked around, those light bar are SO expensive, i wnet to all the local jys and theres no libertys with em, i think the only ones that have them are the renegades but i could be wrong, oh well back tov the drawing board haha

Pnguyen7 06-03-2011 01:27 AM

Yep. IDK about the renegade. They are on the Liberty but it was a option i think. Keep looking ive seen them on the street here. Buy the bar add HIDS or LEDS. Just a Thought

I've read that the Liberty bars already have the Hella lights in them. Or atleast Hella makes them. They are supposedly pretty bright to begin with. There's a few downfalls of these bars though. for one, they're plastic. If you hit some pretty good branches you'll definatly crack the outter casing. 2, the lights aren't fully adjustable. So you can't point them in all 4 different directions. 3. They don't fit flush to the roof. You need to shave notches out of the plastic cover to fit the roof notches if you have them.

I still plan on doing this myself in the future. I have my cover sitting here waiting for the guts to be purchased so I can hook it up. I need to find something to put inbetween the roof and bar to deaden any noise and something to finish off the cut edges when I cut out for those notches.

THAT is a great lookin' truck. I have a Comanche with solid, straight body and frame that I bought just for maintenance on my property.

While the Liberty light bar looks pretty good, it seems to be more for show. Plastic sux!
