Default Harmonic Balancer belt question

So I'm using a 4.0 motor from a '94 Cherokee for a late 30's era tribute project. I'd like to find some way to swap the serpentine belt set-up for a v-belt one.
Crank, water pump and alternator are the only pulleys in the equation.
I'm fabricating the alternator bracket and I think I can figure out swapping the w/p and alternator pulleys, but I'm stuck with what to do with the harmonic balancer since the sepentine belt grooves are part of it.
Does anyone know if any of the AMC/Jeep straight 6 v-belt balancers interchange with a '94 motor?
Looking for any ideas.

Thanks.

The early 4.2L engine used v belts but I don't know if it the crank pulley will work on a 4.0L engine .

That's great info.
So I know some balancers are counter weighted to compensate for different crank throw setups. .
Do you know if a balancer from a 4.2 would create any imbalance issues? Assuming the balancer is in good condition.

Thanks

no they are not interchangeable...the pump turns in the wrong direction from the new serpentine 4.0...go to ROCKAUTO...use a 1985 CJ7 with the 4.2...it will give you the parts needed

Awesome, I was ferreting around on RA just kind of looking for similarities between the motors and not getting very confident - so a specific year and model is great
Thanks!
