building half doors for my 2 dr and wanted to see how other people did there handle and how they skined the door . im in the process of just getting ready to brace the inside of the door and sheet metal were i cut kinda just trying to get some ideas not trying to go exspensive so anything will help ill try and get pics up

Search on YouTube for "half door" by bleepinjeep. He's got some good how too's.

I didn't like his 1/2 doors but only because he could have made them cleaner . It's not that hard to do some sheet metal work

Yea I wasn't fond of the rubber topping either, and I'd probaly try to keep the outer handle on. But a good general process I'd suppose.

Well this is what I have so far for my doors . I'm try to figure out if I wanna go with just putting the handle back on and just having it as a button basically or taking the handle and moving it away from the original location just looking for some ideas .

Could you rotate the whole handle so its either up or down?

I was thinking of that just with the linkage behind it. Might just be of bending it or making a new piece

Or if you did a push button, you could screw a beefy handle vertically underneath. Like a beefy cabinet style handle from home depot

but you could grab an older style rear hatch handle and put in on the door

Sweet! What did you end up doing for handles? Just reach in and pull the stock interior handle? I do that on my cherokee just for fun if the window's open...I have no half doors haha

Handles I just relocated the inside one to the middle of the door and flipped it works good
