i was changing my u joints today and noticed that my tranfer case output shaft has already been drill and tapped. but the shaft seems to still be longer than it should be. just looking for some input if its looks like it was used for a hack and tap. the shaft sticks out about 4.25 inches would that be safe for a hack and tap or should i cut it again. btw its a 2000 with 3in lift working on making it 5. thanks for all the help.
