Default Hack n tap, enough spline/ seal contact?

Hey, just making sure I have enough contact with the seal to make sure it will work correctly. I think it is passing the part on the back of the seal with the spring around it but not 100%, honestly not sure if its even sposed to go passed that seal, lol. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance. You can see the ring where the seal is making contact.

it needs to pass through that seal... otherwise it wont seal... you will have fluid pouring out the back of your case.

what do the instructions say?
