Ok I just got a 1999 XJ and the gauge cluster is not working. Similar problem that I know many people have had. The brake light, air bag light, etc. work fine but all the gauges are completely dead. The radio and everything else also work fine...

I have searched around quite a bit, and HAVE TRIED the cleaning out the contacts fix multiple times but it has not worked. I am convinced it is either the wiring or a fuse.

So I have two questions:

1) is there a fuse for the gauge cluster in 1999 XJ's? (I don't have an owners manual)

2) has anyone with similar problems pinpointed any weak points in the gauge cluster wiring? Or even where the ground to that is?
