Grinding and kicking it of 4wd after sye install
I installed a rugged ridge sye on my 2000 Cherokee it’s been a night mare of issues. First put it together wasn’t engaging into 4 low tore it apart cut off the shifter pin to clear it hitting the casing. Still wasn’t engaging so I played around with adjusting the shifter and I got it lined up. tore it apart again to manually put it in 4 low put it back together now it’s grinding like crazy and poping in and out 4wd all the time. Any suggestions would be great about to give up and take it to a shop?

You were supposed to do the install with the t-case in 4low. There are some great step by step videos on youtube. I'd give it one more go taking time to make sure all is good and clean and in the right spot, after that its up to you. It would probably still be cheaper to get a whole other used t-case in good shape and try again than dropping your jeep off with your local offroad or trans shop.
