Default grenade shifter for autos

First you have to yank off the stock shifter. Just put it in drive and pull. I bought this grenade at a flea market on Sunday. Bottom of it already had a hole in it so i just had to file it a little bigger so it fit on tight. Than I drilled a 1/4" hole threw the top part of the grenade to allow a rod to pass threw. I used a 3/16" rod with a hose at the end to connect to the stock shifter lockout. Slipped everything over the rod,cut rod down to size reinstall. Put handle back on and pull pin and your done. Functions great only issue is im gonna have to reinforce the handle with a small plate cause the pressure to squeeze handle bends it. I just have to squeeze from higher up for now and its fine. Overall it was a easy mod.

Heres is a pic of where handle needs to be reinforced.

and i tried posting in xj mods but i guess i dont have permission.

That's sick I got a grenade and was thinking how I could do it but never thought you could , so what about the button on the old shifter handle you have to push in the button to shift it, how do you do it once the grenades on ?

Its very simple. You can get grenade from army surplus stores for like 10-15 bucks. I happened to have everything needed to make it work.

All the army surplus stores around here are long gone, least as far as I know.
