lateral tread lugs and skinny tires. in that situation you have to overcome gravity and physics with traction. lockers and wide tires can only make side hill episodes worse.

Probably one reason military vehicles come with narrow tires for the most part. Especially the older ones.

Absolutely... Dig down to where the traction happens to be. Hard to catch up with a model T in 3 foot mud too.

Worm gear drive... Chug...Chug...Chug... gear lash noise... lol. My dad shared a lot fun about the one he had when he was 10. They took it places that we would need a 5" lift to get over now.

He said there was a clutch issue with it, so they had to lift one back tire and put it on a milk crate then start it and push it off the crate. lol

You aren't hardcore wheeling unless you use dynamite to help getting over obstacles, LOL

And it wasn't just Fords, LOL

I'm not much of a Ford guy, but the Model T was one hell of a vehicle, for many, many reasons.

Lol it was called STROKE... I know one thing, if you leave the hood off for a couple years it takes a 3 foot cheater pipe to get the spark plugs out.
