I found a set of uppers off a grand Cherokee will the fit my 89 xj

if they are from a zj (93-98) then yes they will work.

No advantage I am just running stock uppers on a six inch lift!!!!lol :;

If they are from a 93-98 they are exactly the same as what you have.
