Hey I have been offered a 1995 jeep grand cherokee for a parts rig for 400
it has the V8 without the all time 4x4.

I currently own a 1990 jeep cherokee

My question is can I use the engine, drivetrain, and axles in my XJ?

Will there be a lot of fab in this?

 

Tons of fab. The front axle is a low pinion D30 vs your high pinion, rear will most likely be a D35 since the equally weak D44a didn't come in that year. Motor is decent and is a 318 but you'd need to swap wiring and ecm. Trans is a 42re and weaker than your AW4. I'd skip it unless you want to build it.

 

Only thing i see swapping is the seats that's about it.
