Can get my hands on a 8.25 from an XJ for 150$ also a set of steel wheels with 31s for $200. Might see if he can do 3 for all. Also has a 7" longarm kit for XJs that I'm waiting to see what he wants for it
Is $150 a good price for an 8.25 axle for my ZJ.

That's an average price for the 29 spline versions, way high for 27 spline versions and like 2K said, you have a 4 link rear vs the XJ leaf rear so plan on welding on all new mounts. Your sig says you have a 4L so good chance it has 3.55s but not an absolute and most XJs came with 3.55s. Also says you have a AW4 and unless you swapped it in you don't, it's a 42RE.

Btw thanks for bringing that up and not letting me go around looking like a complete idiot... Where would I get a 44? What donor vehicle would I look for?

Rubi D44 rears came with 4.10s so you'd need to regear, it was also an option in later TJs and had other gear ratios but not 3.55s. 96-98 ZJs came with a 44a which is better than a 35 but not as good as a 44. It's c-clipped like a 35 and uses 44a specific parts like carriers and lockers. They came with V8s and most had 3.73 gears but you can snag the matching front. It's a direct bolt in and will even work with your ABS. Some have aluminum center sections and that's it's weak link but they are fine with tires up to 33s. All came with disc brakes. BTW the wrangler versions are not a bolt in.

So if I find a D44a and regear it, it should bolt right up to my ZJ with no serious modification???

The 44a came stock in 96-98 ZJs and is the same width as a 35. It was the axle used for V8s. Instead of regearing it just get the front axle from the same vehicle and you'll have 3.73s. That way if you want to go lower later down the road you won't have to replace the front carrier like you would with yours with the 3.55s. And your front shafts would work as spares as well.
