Hey guys right now I have s firestik 4' antenna for my XJ. The red cap fell off, and now i have no cap on it. Whats a good one for offforading because its too have to where it bends the mounts. If i put a spring on it, it hits the side of the Jeep, so what should i do?
Downside is that mine won't hold a tune, but my friend's does.

i run a 3ft antenna. i also lost the cap on mine. all it is, is a weather cap to keep water out of the wrapping. i just wrapped some electrical tape around it and works just fine for over a year.
You cant go wrong with a whip antenna. I have broke numerous firesticks on the trails in my TJ. When I sold it and my tow rig, I pulled the big magnetic based Wilson off of my F250 and put it on top of my XJ and have never had a problem with it. Plus I think I get better reception with a whip anyway.
