We'll be working on my sons jeep tomorrow I'll try and get some pics of it, it's made to fit the jeep and replaces the stock muffler and tail pipe but is 2-1/4 in and 2-1/2 out. less than an hour to install.

My old muffler rusted and developed a huge leak, so I just bought a Flowmaster 44 off of ebay from this guy, best price I could find

As far as installation, I simply cut the stock muffler out, went to my local auto parts store, picked up a 12" piece of 2.25" with a slip fit, cut it to fit, put the slip fit over the stock pipe leading to the tailpipe, but ended up welding it because the stock piping as some wierd lumps on it.
Love the way it sounds though, it growls but isn't ricey. Just what I wanted

Better air flow means more power, granted it will usually be slight my nephew added 8hp on his '95 T/A by removing the stock exhaust and installing a true straight pipe system w/ duel Flowmasters. Better air flow means more power. Some mufflers restrict the airflow.

A muffler won't do much if anything without a full exhaust upgrade. The whole point of a muffler is to cancel out sound waves from the exhaust gas by fitfully redirecting it in a different direction. Which means no matter what kind of muffler your using the exhaust gas is being constricted And if your still using the same crummy factory exhaust manifold or header which is designed to decrease performance in order to meet emmisions. Just welding a muffler on wont do anything for you in terms of noticeable performance. I know someone who put a flow aster on and their mpg dropped.

Have a glasspack on my straight pipe. It's not that bad. Sounds really nice when floored, kinda nice driving on the highway. I'm considering either removing it or maybe swapping a Flowmaster or something.

Search is pretty simple but there are a lot of conflicting arguments on here. Personally I would just leave it alone, from what I understand even a full exhaust upgrade from custom headers to larger pipe with performance cats don't do to much for 4.0 unless they are stroked or forced induction
although, would you recommend a good replacement if I ever dent the **** out of mine?
glass pack from where

Advanedreillyzone all sell Thrush glass packs for $20ish dollars. It's the exact same thing as a cherry bomb and they both have the bright red paint. The only place around here (detroit) that carries legit cherry bomb glass packs are actual muffler shops. Other then that the only other place is online. Cherry bombs are normally a little priced around $30 but some people say they won't wear out as fast as thrush
