Gearing Question???
Today I installed my gears in my 8.25. I was wondering how much harder it is to install gears in a dana30 than the 8.25. Also Is it ok to drive it with two different gear ratios as long as I don't put it in four wheel drive. Thanks in advance guys!

its fine to drive with the different ratios as long as you don't use 4WD.
as far as whats easier im not sure because i've never worked on an inside of an 8.25 but i would assume it would be easier because you dont have the crush sleeve

ahh thats what it was, 8.25 has no shims.. thanks for the correction.
i knew one was slightly easier than the other. had a 50/50 chance of getting it right lol
