Default Gear ratio question.

Yes, I have searched.

The charts say that with a 32"tire my xj ratio for an overdrive automatic should be at least 4:88 gears.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Ya 4.10s would be good to keep it stock, if you want more torque you could do 4.56s

Thanks guys. So the chart was pretty close. I would like it lower than stock. So 4:56 or 4:88's seems spot on for me.

You just saved me some money. I almost bought a 3:73 set.

Thanks

And you would have never noticed the difference.

Would you need to change both carriers? I'm considering this too while I'm in there to replace leaky seals.

Depends on which axles you have.

4.10 - going with a different ratio will affect your drive... You also need to change the speedo gear.
