The factory one, because thats what it came with. No exhaust clearance issues. I would recommend it to anyone, if you can find one at the junkyard.

I'm using just a factory skid. Works great and have landed on it pretty hard, I'm using it because it cost 5 bucks and I didn't want to spend ~250 for the same thing. I have zero clearance issues with a 3in exhaust.

I ran a factory one for a bit (no issues at all). Then I decided to get an aftermarket one and the price threw me waaay off. I fabbed up my own just like most of the aftermarket ones and I did not have any issues. That pipe has a little play in it and could easily be moved over a bit, or you could just cut it off and dump the exhaust further forward.

Break out your local Yellow Pages and look up 'salvage' or salvage yard. Then start calling. Should be about $20.
I also found a steering skid and transfer case skid at the yard, $20 each.
Good Luck

It's not just the upcountry package. The trailer package came with them too. I love mine. They have saved me a few times, even the small t case skid helps a lot.
