Default Gas Cap Seal Replacement

I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and my mechanic says that there is a seal on my tank that is faulty/broken and is allowing fumes to leave the tank. Anyone else have this problem?

Yep, replace the whole cap with OEM.

It's not expensive. Mine went out probably 8 years ago. I imagine it's about time to start leaking again. Throws a code.

I bought mine at my local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership. Also had the same problem with the wife's Caravan. It was the exact same part number.

Should be some online sources as well.
