Default full circle snap ring mod question

So I lost a cap on my u joint on driver side driving down the road yesterday, and this makes twice in a little over a year. Im locked up front and I use spicer joints. This seems like a time to do the mod to hold these sucker together. Those that have done it , are yall using grinders or dremels or what? I have a grinder but it seems like it gonna be tough to get in there.I've got to get a new disc to make sure. Also would these work? I got them from another site that someone said would work.thanks Heath

I used my Dremel when I did the clips for the Alloy X-joints

Would be faster and easier to use an 8" bench grinder with cutting and grinding wheels

You don't have to remove much material
