Fuel Injector Upgrade questions.
I've heard in a few places that using a Bosch 0280155703 fuel injector can help a Jeep idle smoother and run stronger. Is this true? I've also found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-Upgrade...-/330657234572
...is that the correct injector? I read these are "plug and play" and don't require any special modifications to use; just apply o-rings, lube them up and put them in.
I presently drive a 1988 Jeep Cherokee that has the original injectors in it, and even after changing the o-rings some months ago, it has begun to leak gas around one of the injectors where it goes into the engine. The topic I read says that if this happens even with new rings, it's best to replace the injector itself. Also, it says this other injector gives a better spread of gas than the stock one.
Any info would be appreciated.

The "703" injectors are a plug and play upgrade. I finally got around to rebuilding the injectors that I bought a while back and put them in my '98 today. It fires up quicker and has a slightly better throttle response. I haven't been able to check the mpg yet but it's supposed to help a little. These injectors are better because they have four ports instead of the factory single port injector and they atomize the fuel better instead of just pissing the fuel in like the factory ones. There are tons of write-ups and several people selling these injectors on this forum. Unless you really want to rebuild them yourself, I would suggest buying a rebuilt/tested set from someone on here. The set will run you between $65-$70, which is pretty solid compared to the time and money of doing it yourself unless you're a masochist like me. If the photo attached correctly (I'm using my phone) it should show you the difference between the factory and the 703 injection ports. The ugly single port factory injector vs the slightly more attractive four port 703. Hope this helps.

Good read. I have a wide band o2 sensor and gauge I put on before I stroked my 4L to 4.7 to use as a baseline. A had already converted to 21lbs injector and to my surprise, the 88 remix kept the ratio. Within ideal range without adjustments of the map. Even after stroked to 4.7 and 24 lbs injector, the fuel ratio stayed within the ideal range. Even at WOT. Good little renix

I went to a four hole injector in my 2000, no change in mpg but pulls better in 1st an 2nd gear. still falls on its face in 3rd, and no change in 4th or 5th. they were cheaper than new stock injectors. I frequently pull a loaded down 5x9 trailer. everything is still stock for now except the injectors an hood vents.
