Default Fuel cell questions

I am going to get a fuel cell to put in the interior of my jeep relatively soon. However I need some input on some different options. I am considering an aluminum tank or a plastic one and I would like some opinions from people on that subject. Also is there any advantage to having a sump instead of a dry (external) pump?

That post requires ALOT of typing to fully answer and I just dont have the time or pactience to do so right now.

But I will tell you this

No Plastic please.

Alum will be $$$$$

Look in to the RCI 25gal shorty, it likely will fit behind your rear seat even, I cant confirm though as I have no interior.

A ext pump is Way easier to change, and to buy for.
A Int pump cools better and typically last a bit longer.

In any case if yoru serious, then look in to what the Jeepspeed guys are doing. I did 4 walbro / holley style pickups, one in each corner and tee'd them all together to one #6 line up to the top (inside the cell) and then mounted a 40 micron filter in line before a 2000 pump. Then up a return reg (still in the back) and return line back to the top of cell, and then steel braided loop to the floorboard where theres a bulkhead and then on the bottom of the jeep its all alum 3/8s line then up to the engine bay where it adapts to -6 steelbraid again then to a 100Micron filter and then to the fuel rail.

theres a dangerous start for ya....

Or you could just raise the existing tank and save $$$ taking you are looking for more clearance.

Yeah...seen a few build threads outlining this common procedure...on here as well as other more 'swarthy' forums...

The issue with that cell is that it is purely just a alum tank. The fuel cells I have ran and most I see run are cells that have a bladder inside a steel or alum housing. So if the housing gets hit or splits, the fuel is still contained.

I see. I should not have much of a problem with it being damaged though hopefully because I will be putting it in the cargo area and most other stuff will be kept where my rear seat used to be. But thanks for that info
