The setup in the picture is how it is supposed to be installed. I put mine on under the bar though so it would be a little longer. Im not sure why RE would have said to do it any other way.

Eh i took mine off after i put my lift kit on, i only went 3". I've put less than 5,000 miles on mine since i took them off. I dont see a huge problem at with it right now but if I lift it again, and i'm sure i will, Ill be putting them back on and getting quick disconects. I've never once felt like it's gonna roll and i've been know to drive "spiritedly" every now and then.

You can relocate the sway bar if it is too close or rubbing something, like the coils.
Rubicon has a sway bar relocation kit that is cheap and easy to install. Moves it further forward and down, and out of the way of anything else...

Addressing the issue of Swaybar vs none, IMO our Jeeps are not sportcars.
So regardless of whether we are running Swaybars or not, we should not be driving on-highway "like we stole it"
Higher center of gravity, short track width and all that, doesn't really lend itself to high-speed performance!
So please be careful out there.

I do a fair amount of highway driving and since my setup has a higher cog right now (5.5 lift with 33x10.5's, no spacers yet) I am putting mine back on soon. I also have discos on mine so its not that big of a deal to have it on. If I didn't drive on the highway I wouldn't mind not having one. I never really had that much of an issue with body roll on corners, but on the highway going 60 mph makes a difference in comfort and safety.
