Default Front shock wandering

I'm running bilstein shocks upfront. I'm on set #2 of
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-b4kt1z097a00?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoebsBRCHARI sAC3JP0KOj2VZT_JGGkZPCM5eK-1UpbNMIVyaItl8CAtNxpw965qlrqQ-hVQaAjLJEALw_wcB

Bushings and I was considering trying polyurethane instead.

The only reason I assume they are wandering and chewing up bushings is overflexing maybe.

Does anyone know the original I.D. of the cherokee bushing hole ?(on the body of the wheelwell), these are boogered up from the shock stem beating them up.

RE3.5 lift and bilsteins

poly bushings are tougher, therefor, you will likely feel them making noise, but they should last longer than original.

as for the stud opening, you should be able to weld on a washer or two to help strengthen up that area. just be sure to paint them after welded in.

make sure the top nut is tight. real tight.

Is it normal to have the bushings getting chewed up over time?

Definitely not normal. Unless the bushing are very old becoming dry rotted or if the original hole has been damaged or the nut on the stud is not tight enough to seat the bushings properly they'll get damaged. Just me but on vehicles with the stud type mount I install an extra washer at the top if I don't like the "feel" of how things seated. Plenty of thread for it.

Get some of these. Although then you would also need to buy shocks.
