Default front locker????

hey guys i have a 93 cherokee 4.0. i use it to offroad only. never driven on the street. my rear diff is lincoln locked and im wanting to lock my front dana 30. selectable lockers are out of my price range and really dont want one lol. im looking at the spartan locker. i heard alot of good things about them and they seem popular and dependable and in my price range. was also thinkin about welding the front dana 30 but have also heard some bad things about that too. just looking for some input and opinions on which route to take. let me know what you think. thanks

I was hearing that welding the front that you would be more prone to snapping an axle shaft during wheel hop or turning hard. has anyone else ever heard this?

If you do lock the front, look into a 2lo kit. Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about. Helps with the tight trails for sure!

I wouldn't weld it. I have an aussie locker in my d30 and it does great. But if you got to make a sharp turn, it's such a pain when it's locked. You turn out doing like a 15 point turn lol.

I have a spartan in the rear. RWKhaus in the vendor section is running a ridiculous sale on them. My spartan for the front is still sitting in my living room. :P
Install is fairly easy, plus it comes with a new hardened cross shaft and does not require the use of thrust washers.

X2 I got everything from RWKhaus and love my setup, I'm running a eaton 30 spline up front with chromo axles and a spartan in the rear in a Dana 44 and love it

I just put the order in for my D30 aussie locker after reading some reviews about decent/quiet road manners. I'll try it out for $270 shipped
the only other drop in I would consider is lockright. but it doesnt come with a hardened cross shaft so it would be like $310 or more shipped
