Default Front bumper question

I have a little time off and was thinking on starting a new front bumper build. I do not have frame stiffeners just yet and was wondering if i should take this into consideration. I guess Im asking if most people use 1/8 or 3/16 for stiffeners in the bumper/steering stiffener area? Thanks

1/4" stiffeners, 3/16 bracing, 1/8" skin to make it look nice.

3/16" is probably the most common

I've built a dozen, or so, front bumpers. I started out using 1/4" and honestly don't see any advantage. I use 3/16".

I am planning on bracing my front end with these when I go to revamp my steering. Already bought these from Rusty's and a Durango box of E-bay.

I already have a nice bumper I hope I won't have to re-do the mounting brackets but if I have to it will be worth it.
