Default Front axle placement

I have a rough country long arm kit at 6.5" of lift. I'm having trouble setting the front axle. The measurements that came with the kit are way off. Anyone have an idea of what it should measure? I put the spring in line by eye and it road terrible so I pushed it forward and now it rides nice but the spring seems to be at an angle and makes some noise when I hit a big bump.

When you adjusted the two upper arms, the ones being pointed to in the pic, how did you set the castor angle?

I set the arms at what the directions said to. It was way off. I had serious drive line vibes. So I adjusted it until the front drive shaft wasn't binding up anymore

Do you have a t-case drop?

If you can, use the lower arms to pull the axle back towards the crossmember until your coil isn't bent forward.
Or go ahead and center your tire in your fender opening.

Then follow this guide on how to align, just scroll down until he shows how to set caster angle:
http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm

He includes lifted applications.
Set the caster with the two smaller links.

No transfer case drop. I'll give it a shot again. Thanks for the link. Some good information there.

No problem, hope it helps you.
Yeah it is, I keep it bookmarked for when I need to set one up.
