Default Frame Stiffening kit. Bolt on or weld on?

Can anyone give some advice on what direction to go in with a frame stiffening kit? Bolt on, or weld on? The vehicle is bone stock and I'm just starting out on the build. I'm just guessing, but is this a good place to start?

I'm unaware of any bolt-on stiffening options but I would advise against that route, regardless. Anything bolt-on will wallow out the holes. Weld on is the way to go. I have Ruffstuff mids and Dirtbound fronts/rears. Also check out the HD Offroad Engineering's kit.

Detours used to offer a bolt on frame stiffening kit but I'm not sure if they still do. Regardless, a weld on kit would be better. I'm in the middle of installing one from JCR.

Weld on should be the best, while youre in there you should get the front and rear stiffeners as well might as well stiffen everything up while you're doing it.

There was at least one bolt on kit I've seen, it bolted to the lower control arm holes and front leaf spring bolts.

That being said, wouldn't run it either.

Weld on and forget about it is the way to go.
