frame side lca brackets

in the process of installing some iro frame stiffeners. front and mid. the po cut the brackets half way. Is there an easier way to take these off fully, besides grinding them off?

yep, grinder. it's a messy job that i hope i won't have to do again.
but at least now i have a plasma cutter that might be able to get more off before i get the grinder out.
