Default Frame damage

So part way through my build i noticed my frame is separated in front of the rear driverside shackle. Is there any way to fix this or have i become dead in the water?

Wow. That's some serious rot. You're going to need to cut back a fair bit until you find good steel and replace bits. That ain't even metal anymore!

Ouch...that doesn't look good at all. That would take some serious fabrication to fix. It wouldn't be impossible though. It would take time and a lot of patience, and you would want to look over the rest of the unibody rails for any more rust while you're at it.

Those pictures almost caused me to vomit..
I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. Really hope the rot is localized to that one spot, it can be repaired. If it's everywhere than It could be a lost cause.
I would take a small hammer or mallet and start tapping the rest of the frame-rails, looking and listening for rot. They often rot from the inside but still look OK from outside.

Thats the only "seriously" rottted spot on the frame. Everything els is mostly solid. Thinkin about cutting the frame from the tire back and removing it. Then jamming a piece of tube into the remaining section and welding new brackets back on.

Or for option B...sell and buy another lol

Well, I think you'd need to consider what you've put into the jeep so far, if anything. That might be an easier option (B) altogether. For me personally, if I had rot like that, I'd be doing as you mentioned and cutting it out and fixing it. I've got too much $$ tied up in my rig to let it go over some rust. LOL

I have had it for a week now so i only have a few hundred into it. I could always find a rollin chassis cuz the motor and tranny are still strong.

I vote cut it out and replace the frame piece with 3x3 .120 tube and you'll have a fresh spot to build from.
