wow. they are only $115 each? that's not bad considering bilsteins are $80 each. still, you've got something that sounds like it's better than all the rest of your suspension combined. these shocks really aren't worth it unless you've got long arms and a lot of other quality components. a problem I'm noticing is it looks like both ends of the shock are eyelet. the body side on the xj takes stem style shocks. you will need to buy a stem eliminator bracket kit right? or is the picture on the website deceiving and they are stem style
still, unless this is your lift kit http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Lift-Kits-Je...FYOUfgodjKQAHA
I don't see you making much use of these. and with stock track bar location swing, short arms, poor bump stops, lack of limit straps etc you may actually end up damaging these shocks before you ever get to make any use of them. if you are working up your first build here I suggest some much cheaper shocks until you get a handle on proper set ups (and upgraded suspension to match). I know I sure busted a few cheapos in the beginning. glad they weren't $115 a piece

I have to make many arrangements then

IDK, you make it sound like it would be a terrible idea to run them. They will ride nicer when dessert running and if he has stock LCAs he wont over extend them. I personally looking at trying the Doetsch 8000 pre runner shocks. But like I said I tend to do a bit of high speed dessert running. I really like the integrated bump stops also. If I like the 8000s Ill try the HV-1s
why the OP shouldn't run them is because it sounds like he's got no idea what he's looking at (we were all their once). I'd advise against running them because it's easy to wreck an expensive shock if not set up properly. I've pulled 2 shafts out of shocks (once on short arms) and blown 1 from coming down too hard without bump stops. better to learn from my mistakes no? very glad those were cheapos. now that I know what I'm looking at I'm comfortable paying for bilsteins at least

My xj is all stock from below
I really didn't think of all this , i though that it's only better shocks and will preforme better on sand and off-road
Looks like that I'll have to sell them then once it arrives
Thank god that people here tend to buy those shocks
So is it final ?? My xj is lifted 3" now , so no use of using the fox shocks on my car ?????

Either that or you could return them. Like Atmos said, we've all been there. I'm always trying to learn more about XJ's. Figure out what springs and other components you want, then get shocks that will fit well with those components. And like many have stated, Bilstein 5100's are a good way to go, and they're way less than $100 a shock.

you may need something like this to make your fox ones fit (based off the image shown on the website, but those pics are often wrong) http://www.quadratec.com/products/16301_4460.htm

rubicon express, rustys, zone. just be sure to get full leafs and not add a leafs, as well as control arms or those nice shocks arent gonna do a thing for you

full traction was my suggestion. rubicon, all the other typical ones.
at $500 budget it's like your jeep will be drinking fine champagne out of a worn out old boot lol

lol. my real suggestion would be to accumulate nicer parts slowly and put it all on at once. your jeep will thank you and you'll be happier overall. if waiting six months turns that into $1000 you should do that.
if i had to do it all over id buy a stocker and wouldnt lift it til i had EVERYTHING
