Default Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks issue

So a while back when ordering parts for my Jeep build, I ordered some fox shocks. Fast forward to now, a long way down the road, and because of issues and large amount of laziness and procrastination, I'm finally at the point of installing my shocks. This is where the issue arrives. When I ordered my shocks on ebay (advertised as Jeep XJ Fox 2.0 IFP shocks),the picture was advertised as this:

When I opened the boxes, I was sent two of each of these:

My issue with this situation, is that I bought the shocks 9 months ago, and due to my stupidity and procrastination, I'm just now noticing the issue, and I don't know if the Ebay seller (krawl-works was the seller in case anyone was wondering or has had any experience with them) will take them back. Are these technically the correct shocks and is there some way I can get them to work on my 2001 Jeep XJ? Do I need to try and return them or sell them and get different ones? I honestly don't even know which of those two is supposed to be the front shock and which is the rear (my guess is that the second picture is the rear, but like I said, no idea). Can anyone help me out here, cause even as an engineer this has me scratching my head (in my defense my roommate is also an engineer with way more car/truck experience and this even stumped him )

Thanks in advance

Ebay strikes again.

the 2nd pic is the rear. The first is wrong. Seller probably won't take them back since it's been so long. "Engineers" these days

Am I missing the issue?
Besides the fronts not having a bar pin?

Well the pics on mobile are really small. But what I'm seeing is that the fronts don't have the stem mount. Unless I'm not seeing the pics fully

Ah, Okay, I actually that looked over.
Depending on the lenght and suspension specs of the jeep....
You can use the upper shock mount adapters (or make some)
Transfer your bar pins over from your old shocks.
Here is an example upper shock adapter:

Alright so this is on a 5.5 inch Rubicon Express long arm kit. If I was to order those upper shock adapters you linked, and these lower bar pin eliminators: http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10043.html

Would that solve my issue?

Yes all that will allow you to mount them, but you will be adding nearly 2" to the compressed length of the shock.
As long as the compressed length is acceptable for the setup then you can run it like that.
Or you can use your old bar pin and only add about 1" to the length.

if you still have the parts from your rear swaybar you can make free bar pin eliminators for the rear shocks.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4484HbaQcEY.
I did it on my XJ and it worked pretty slick.
As was mentioned above, make sure it doesn't interfere with shock length.

Yeah I think adding 2" to the compressed length might be a bit much. I'm gonna start out with ordering the upper shock adapter and try to salvage the bar pins from the old shocks. Hopefully that does the trick
