Default found the cause of my DW

Hey yall, i found the cause of my death wobble, the problem is i don't know how to fix it, turns out when i drilled the holes for both the axle mount and frame mount i didn't drill them exactly centered and straight. I was kinda hoping someone has done this a time or two and knows a way to current the improperly drilled holes,

Thanks in advance,
Redwolf

I'm assuming you mean the mounting points for track bar. Weld plates and redrill..maybe?

Unfortunately I see a few kits out there that suggest such a thing. I don't think that its a good idea even though it should work if done correctly. The bad thing is, on the ground (like most us have to work on our junk) its just so darn hard to do it correctly.

My suggestion is get an aftermarket adjustable track bar, get a new bracket that will allow a double-sheer setup (since you are down there anyway) and then use the stock holes on the axle side.

Yeah you never drill a new hole you replace the trackbar with one that fits right.

No i did not lift my XJ and think the stock track bar would work, the previous owner did. I changed out the stock one with a 3-4" lift adjustable RE1600 rubicon express track bar. the instructions stated to drill both the axle mount and bracket mount holes bigger to fit the hardware RE sent with the track bar. I just don't know how to go about making a new axle mount for the track bar, i've seen a few for sale on 4wheelparts and quadratec but the look nothing like what i got. I've also seen the drop bracket rubicon express has but it says in the instructions it will only work with the heavy duty 4.5-6 track bar. As it looks i'm only with a stock bracket, i've got the plan to get another stock one from a buddy of mine and just drill the hole with it off the jeep then mount everything,

I found more to the cause of my death wobble (or what i think could be a cause). My upper control arm bushings are done, they're hardly any rubber there. I was wondering if anyone had a part number weather it be from advance, autozone, quadratec, etc for the upper control arm bushings for ON the axle. I don't have the funds to go all out and get the adjustable upper control arms like what i want, i'm gettin stock uppers but need the bushing for the axle mounts,

Thanks in advance again,
Redwolf
