Ok guys so I got myself in a pickle.
(Preface) My District Manager owns a TJ and a while back he did an 8.8 Swap and 4.56s. When he comes by the store we always small talk about jeeps and trucks, mention recent mods, and what not. Well today I mentioned my recent XJ purchase and got to talking about the 8.8 swap. During the conversation he mentioned something about loss of diff fluid. He said something about some hose for venting?
Being only a college student(pre-engineer), he knows Im an avid recreational wrencher and love doing ruitine maintenance and trouble shooting. Long story short he's looking for me to come by sometime and give it a look and my two cents. But
I have no clue what hose he's referring to and its involvement with the gradual loss of fluid. I was thinking maybe if not a leak possibly due to over heat and just needs a thicker oil.
So any and insight is greatly appreciated, possible future promotion on the table

Guess we both on the same page. I hope we both right!
But back on topic: This did happen to my old D30 R.I.P.
Water got in from a bad seal when fording through deep water next day I noticed the leak got worse.
Week went by and when I finally had time. Poped off the cover and guess what. Water!!!
Found out the hard way it dose not lube bearings very well. Oh well.. it was a Disco anyways.
