Ford 8.8 instalation help

How hard is it to put in a ford 8.8 into an xj?
What fab needs to be done and what are the steps?

I think what tonyb is saying is SEARCH!! I believe there are a million write ups on it. Cant help you anymore then that, I have never done one. But I think for a xj all you have to do is weld new spring perches on. Unfortunatly it isnt that easy on my zj

ford 8.8 rear end

This swap took me about 3 hours to put together. The hardest part was making sure the new perch gets welded on square to the rear end or it will dog leg down the road. The 8.8 is also a bit narrower than the jeep rear end so you will need some wheels with a different backspacing to make up for the difference. ill get you a link on where i got the perches and ill put some pictures up when i get the truck out of storage.
