Also I opted to plug weld the explorer vent hole, then drill and tap a hole on top and use the oem 8.25 vent screw/junction block. Makes for a much cleaner look imo.

Awesome man thanks! One more question, will the offset pinion need to be corrected some how or just leave it?

Just leave it. I haven't driven mine so I can't say. But every single thread I've read on it says it's not a problem. I will say that neither of my oem driveshafts were long enough for the yoke flange, I had to buy a custom one. If you go the normal yoke route they may work.

Also if you want to trim it to make it look better you can cut off the abs "fins" and a little off the front:

You can see I sawed the fins right off and ground smooth, and also right to the left of the pinion where those holes are I sawed some off, makes for an even cleaner look. Again def not necessary, but makes it look soo much better.

people usually don't bother with abs when swapping in a 8.8. But I think I have seen maybe two who got the abs working.

Back to my thread, id rather you didn't thread jack. Would I want any specific degree set for the new brackets to be welded onto the axle?

I had the perches welded 2* lower than driveline angle.

For the driveshaft, with an SYE or a hack n tap installed I'll need a front XJ drive shaft right?

Alright so I have everything in order as far as I can tell. I have the IRO swap kit coming, some gears coming, install kit coming, IRO abs block off plate and a solid diff cover. Now I know I'll need an adapter for the flange. I'm running a 242 transfer case, I WILL BE installing a hack n tap and a front drive shaft in the rear.. Any suggestions on this and what adapter to get? Thanks.
