Forced Induction
Saw this on Ebay and got some ideas..

I figure I could make the same thing at home for next to nothing. I have some 12v computer fans laying around that would be able to fit my intake tube. Do you think by making one it would give me more power and gas mileage? Let me know!

I figure if the fan is fast enough and I find a way to pull colder air in, it'll give me a better MPG result. That's just my opinion though

Have you ever seen a 5 hp fan? A 5hp fan is pretty substantial, this is nowhere close to a 5 hp fan. A 5hp fan moves nowhere close to enough air to feed an engine.

i thought about this idea while i was working at an autoparts store and saw a exhast fan for the hull of a boat. the stats looked veryyyyyyy respectfull and i figured it would do wonders to help feed my jeep. but being the one to "do the math" turned out it was about 1/3 of teh air that was being taken in when my egnine is at 5000 rpm so trying to find a fan to push that much air is hard and computer fans jsut wont cut it but if u can find it definately do it the frictional hp thats needed to run a fan would be less that the indicated hp that will be generated

SuperLameaddons
these don't help. they restrict air flow. but i guess if you bought one and had a tornado with open headers and 3 cone filters it could be supper fast....
