Default flowkooler water pump

So yesterday I installed a flow kooler high flow water pump in my 97 xj and as I'm putting it back together I decided to spin the pulley and it was grinding against the cylinder wall. Now Im pissed. I take it all back apart n notice the stupid rivits on the backing plate are getting jammed up. So now I bust out the grinder and smooth the rivets down. Still rubbing. Wtf. Now I decided to slightly grind where the rivets were rubbing on the cylinder wall. Finally that works and I re- install everything. I let the truck run for a 30minets or so and no problems. Works good I guess.lol no more running hot anymore. The water pumps overall design sucks BC its basically stock with a backing plate rivitted to the impeller
