Default Floor pans on the cheap

Just picked up a 94 xj se 4 door w/ a 3" lift rancho w/ full leafs, quick disconnects and and Aussie locker w/ 31" dick cepick mid terrains , the unibody is solid but rockers and floor pans are shot , this is the third jeep I have owned in the last 7 yrs, but this is by far the rattiest , picked it up as a father and son project to teach my 14 yr old about cars and If he keeps his grades up something to drive at 16, I was wondering if any one has done rockers/sliders and pans on a budget or have ordered cheaper pans that have worked out for them , I have a welder and the skills to do repairs at home , jUst tryin to do on a budget and I know others have done it on the cheap , any advice/wisdom/knowledge of homegrown/ cheap repairs would be appreciated thanks

First off, don't post the same thread three ****ing times. It's a good way to get people pissed off.

I've seen people replace their floor pans with pieced together pieces of just about anything, held in with anything from JB weld, to hangers, to duck tape, to wood screws... Hell my trunk in my beater XJ is an old shelf thats self tap screwed down and filled in with expanding foam...

You can get floor pans from all over, but you can use the same "piecing together" method and just use a welder. I believe the floor is 18 ga steel... Rocker panels are only about 30 bucks from rockauto.com, or you can cut them out and weld in 2x6 steel. that's a popular way to replace/armor XJs for offroading.
