Hey guys I was wondering what things I would need to get my cherokee xj with a 3in lift to flex. I wouldn't want it to cost that much. Some people say sway bar disconnects and some say an adjustable track bar. What are your opinions

you can start off with removing the rear sway bar and getting disconnects for the front sway bar. for the best flex you will need to upgrade the control arms up front to a three link setup that most long arm kits are available with. long arms are usually the best bet when looking for flex. but they are expensive and usually require cutting and welding to mount the brackets.

Suppose I don't want to cut or weld anything. Then what. Don't the sway bar disconnects go where the control arms go

they just go in place of your sway bar links you have now. rather than bolts and nuts, it has a pin you can pull to remove them quick and easy

....and as far as what your talking, I would just remove the rear sway bar links and get JKS quick disconnect front sway bar links and that'll be a large improvement over what you have going on. make sure you test it before you go wheeling, otherwise if it flexes too much with the size tires you have, you could rub your fenders. doubt that would happen with 3" lift on stock c.a's but you never no

Once you have removed the rear sway bar and installed disconnects to the front either move your brake line mounts or install longer brake hoses. I guess that you did get new shocks for a 3" lift as they are needed.

An adj. track bar is always a good idea as are new control arms.

As far as trimming it all depends on your tire size and bump stops.
