1990 cherokee alarm
Okay, i have a 1990 cherokee. It start and then dies. Ive replaced everything and i feel its the security system. It has the box behind/underneith dash on passenger side. Harness has been cut to doors and have no door keys, is there a way to disable alarm without it starting? Please help.

Could be something as simple as the fuel pump ballast resistor.

Pretty sure the alarm doesn't have anything to do with the ECU or actually starting the vehicle on the older (87-90) Cherokees.
I bought an 89 Limited that was doing the same thing, start for a couple seconds and die.
After MAP/CPS sensor replacement, fuel pressure testing, new ignition module, the culprit ended up being the ECU. Not saying that's where you should start though, I have no idea what the PO did to fry the ECU, and as far as I know they aren't known for going bad.
Start with seeing if you've got good fuel pressure when it dies.
