Flag holder
Well guys I'm trying to get my XJ ready for 4wheeljamboree in September but my jeep is completely stock and I'm wanting to get a head start on it. I've got a 3" RC lift and 1.5" blocks and spacers for a total of 4.5" lift. I've got 31" mud terrains and RC d-window wheels. My jeeps theme is gonna be more of a patriotic look. Black, blue, and red is the color scheme. Okay well now you know the back story of my XJ. So what I'm wanting to make is a flag holder. I don't have a hitch so I can't do the hitch mounted one. I'm wanting it kinda like one of the tail light mounted cb antennae mounts. Any one have better ideas that are reasonably simple and inexpensive. Pictures of your setup would help a bunch. Thanks

I sell taillight cb antenna mounts. $20 shipped anywhere in the U.S. search for antenna mounts in the misc. For sale section. Don't have the link right now

Try bolting one of the house mounted flag holders to your rear bumper. You can pick one up at ACE, Home Depot or Lowe's. Wal-Mart might also have them in the lawn n garden section.

I considered doing that but I don't really want to put holes where I don't really need them. Anyway I got two mounts already fabricated. I just found some scrap steel in my shop and bent it out straight and drilled two holes to the same measurement as the top two bolts on the taillight assembly and drilled another on the end and bolted a clamp (I think that's what it is, I just found a couple laying around) on the end

If you are referring to a full size Flag on an antenna mount...u might want to rethink that. There is a lot of drag on the pole and mount if you plan on driving with the flag waving. If you are talking the small "orange" dune runner flag you might be good. But I wouldn't run a full size flag on a tail light mount... Just my $.02
XJFirefighter makes a very good mount but it is a lot of stress.
