Default First run on Maxxis Razr 35x12.5

Traction is amazing compared to the 3year old Courser met they replaced. Did alot of research and decided on these.

Im running balance beads and tires are smooth on the street with a nice Traction tire Humm.

35x12.5x15

Running 15psi street and trail. In the dirt traction is very good have not run rocks or mud yet. They have 30 trail miles and about 40 mixed gravel rds and pavement

did alot of reading on tires had it down to creep crawlers or these went with the razr to save a few bucks and was having a hard time finding crawlers in stock.

im running 4.88 gears. Jeep still drives on the street and trail maybe slightly less get and go compared to 33s
now when my speedo reads 65 actual speed is a bought 55.
looking forward to lots of trails on these.

How much air you running . I havent chaulkd these tires yet but its looking like 15 is still not quite putting 100% tread on the road. Today i had a few grins feeling traction when od normally slip.. pretty happy so far

Mine won’t put 100% of the tread down either. I don’t know if it’s because they’re new or the 8” rim. Doesn’t seem to be much difference between 15 psi and up to 24 psi. I’m running 24 on the street. My last set of razrs were 32x11.50’s. Actual width was 11.9. They would put 100% of the tread down on day one.

Its a 10ply tire and the xj is a light weight.

have you chaulked yours at 15 and 24. Id assume assume the only thing gained by 24psi is a rougher ride and tires that wear tge centers out faster

I see. I did read where people were using them on full sizes for towing duties. I’ve only driven on them a handful of times and won’t be able to experiment with them for a couple months. Engines coming out for a rebuild. I will drop down and chalk tho. I worry about an abrupt high speed maneuver and breaking a bead at a low street pressure. I haven’t researched what’s safe tho.

With mine at 15 I dont think there's any worry of breaking a bead. I havent chaulkd mine yet but will soon. Probly be 12ish to get all the tread down on the pavement. I religiously run 8" wheels.
on a 33 and rig that might be a fair amount lighter than mine you may just have to live with them not quite running all the tread on the rd.

My old tires 33s were holding the bead doing 45mph on rough 2 track trails and hitting football sized rocks crossing square edged ruts. Also at 15psi. They were 6ply
the razr is a heavier duty tire for sure less likely to have a side wall give up to a rock.
