Well, it looks like this thread has blown up since my last post.

I haven't had a chance to read everything and I'm sorry I haven't responded to your questions on the first page DigitalBman.

I'll try to read through the thread tonight and provide my responses.

I would love to see a pair in person.. For the price though, no matter how functional, I would expect a more aesthetically pleasing design.

We had a set for our 08 JKU Rubi (just sold her). People would flash us all the time.

Funny story, I had a lady flip me off in the parking lot because our dims were too bright. Apparently she was just having a bad day, but I called her out on it.

I have seen the chrome ones in a Cherokee, and they look good on a light color XJ, but I would like to see the dark ones in person before I bought them.

Love the lights though. Legal, as well.

A guy in one of the groups here in town has a set in his XJ. They look cool, and the cutoff is a tiny bit cleaner than my Trucklites but they aren't very impressive, at least not for more than twice the price of Trucklites

Update!!

Last night I had two incidents.

I was flashed by someone in a BMW Z3 on an unlit road. Dont know if they were bothered by my lights basically shining in their face as I drove by or if it was because of the beam. They flashed when I was pretty close to them. It was not from a far distance.

Then going through a drive through I was behind a lady in a Camry. She was at the window, I was behind her.

I was closer to the building than she was and my lights were reflecting in her side mirror.

I saw her holding her hand up to block the light so I turned off my headlights. She waved back at me.

Just thought I would share in the interest of full disclosure.

I'll report back to this thread when I am flashed. Thay way it's easy to keep track if it becomes a recurring issue.

Usually in drive throughs, I turn my headlights off as a courtesy. When you sit higher than a car, your lights basically are lighting up the vehicle in front. Kudos for turning them off in that situation.

You are right! It's a courtesy thing. I have done it in the past with my stock headlights.

I suppose it just comes with the territory when driving a lifted vehicle.

DON'T YOU REALIZE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE ROAD IS AT STAKE?!

Driving a vehicle at night with annoyingly bright headlights is exactly the same as killing someone! People without clear beam cut-off lines are murderers, plain and simple. Therefore, I hope anyone who does it is thrown in prison (and, I'm not talking white collar, country club prison here) for the rest of their lives and then, after they die, that they then burn in hell for all eternity.

Was that a little too much?

Jesus, people. They're headlights. If you can get this worked up about them, you either work for the DoT, or you desperately need to unbunch your panties.
Pure awesomeness. My words exactly, lol.

The same people whining about the car with bright headlights could texting their zzz off 3 seconds later (no one on here does that, right? )

For the record most new vehicles are sold with bright LED headlights. Both the Trucklights and JW Speakers are DOT approved. KCs, Rigids, IPFs, etc are sold as aftermarket lighting for OFF-ROAD use. Not to be used while city/highway driving. If some guy is driving with all his lights on, that's the cops problem, not the companies that manufacture the aftermarket lights. Just saying.

Well my dad bought me a set for Xmas. Ordered them December 5th and we didn't receive them in time for Christmas so Ill post back when I get them.

I will say this, the company needs a little bit of work on their customer service. I frequently buy from the little guys and don't mind waiting/little contact ( especially when he says it can take 2-3 weeks to build/test) but this guy is the worst I have experienced. No confirmation email. His phone number goes straight to voicemail and his emails don't get answered. (Not just during the holiday, we have been trying to get ahold of him for about two weeks). The only way I got anything was via Facebook where he told me to send him a PM which has been unanswered for a week. I fully understand patience but something would be reassuring. Ill post back when/if I get them with a review.

Ianf406-Did you order lights from Black Mamba? If so, check them over real good. I just installed a set of them in my friends XJ. They do have real glass lenses, very fragile, so be careful.

I placed on down on his ARB bumper, and I cracked it without even noticing it. Now, I can own up to breaking something, but I had no clue it was cracked until after I tried to install it. I didn't have one of those moment were it slipped from my hand, or I wasn't paying attention and dropped it. I truly have no recollection of the moment when I cracked it. I must have done it, or my friend or I would have spotted it when looking at it. It was a noticeable crack, again, my fault-but fragile glass.

Also, my friend tried contact him to get a replacement unit(Us paying for it since it was my fault), and the guy wasn't too happy about having to sell just one. He mentioned about having to split them, blah, blah.

He was really had to get a hold of according to my friend.

The biggest complaint is when the replacement came in, It made the original look dingy. The original from the first order has a film in the inside of the lens. Maybe it sat too long a warehouse with the inside facing up. It looks "dirty" inside compared to the replacement.

The replacement is crystal clear. We complained on this and B.M. said that he would have to wait until the next "batch" comes in and then we could swap them out.

QC, not that good either.

Yup- Black Mamba.
Yea I am debating just cancelling the order via PayPal. Something seems shady about this guy to me. Ill give him till Wednesday to respond then I'll ask for a refund/ file a dispute.

If that plays out, ill probably go get a set of trucklites. The GE lights are 300 a piece. Im not ever going to pay that much for a headlight lol.
